North celebrates autumn with a vibrant essence of community from our headquarters in Troy, Michigan to our sister office in Limerick, Ireland.

The planned activities at each location, along with a continuation of our corporate giving program, highlight unique actions that embody the North feeling of togetherness and celebration. Kari Lawry, Chief Human Resources Officer at North, notes, "Our focus is on fostering a culture of inclusivity and support for both our team members and the communities we serve."

At North headquarters in Troy, Michigan, the Great Pumpkin Carve-Off invites everyone to showcase their creativity, regardless of where they work. Whether remote or onsite, participants can carve and submit photos of their pumpkins with winners announced on Halloween.

Categories include Most Creative, Funniest, Spookiest, and Best Carving Technique. First-place winners earn North prizes. The event concludes with a display of all carved pumpkins, celebrating the artistic talents within the North community.

Halloween, long known as a mostly American holiday, has grown in popularity in Ireland. In North’s Limerick office Dawid Polit, Data Analyst at North and the head of the employee resource group (ERG) Culture Connect, has crafted exciting Halloween plans alongside local Office Manager and head of the Better Together Network ERG, Victoria Staszowska. Activities include decorations, a bake sale, and a dress-up competition.

Bake sale proceeds will support Limerick Animal Welfare, highlighting the office's dedication to local causes. Polit emphasizes the community’s commitment by stating, "We all love animals here. We did actually put out a vote at the beginning of the year about who the money should go to, and everyone just went with animals."

This demonstrates a collective enthusiasm for supporting local charities. The Limerick office strongly encourages team member participation in these events, which also feature a North-wide vote, allowing both in-person and remote involvement.

In addition to these celebrations, the North enterprise is making significant charitable contributions in October. Two corporate donations are planned to align with important causes that we support.

On October 10, in recognition of World Mental Health Day, a donation will be made to the World Federation for Mental Health. This reflects the company's commitment to supporting mental well-being on a global scale. Later, on October 13, in recognition of Indigenous People's Day, the company will donate to the First Nations Development Institute, emphasizing its dedication to supporting Indigenous communities.

Both offices exemplify the North ethos of unity and celebration. They demonstrate how fall festivities can transcend geographical distances, bringing diverse teams together in shared joy.

The activities also shine a spotlight on the North atmosphere of togetherness and celebration that helped make us one of  "America's Greatest Workplaces 2025," and a place on the list of “America’s Greatest Workplaces for Mental Well-Being,” as judged by Newsweek.

Wherever you live and work, we hope the spirit of togetherness and community are also part of your season.
